What a year…… <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I really don’t want to look back. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Too many fears of this Virus around me. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Too many politicians, who made difficult decissions and too many stupid people , who ignored the established rules and made my life even more difficult. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

No concerts and no traveling in 2020- no workshops -no meetings with friends… <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Well, a difficult year. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

But \ud83d\ude42 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I want to tell a bit about some aspects and some projects which would not be on the road without that troubles. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

First I remember one video session in Wuppertal. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I really appreciate how this people there were dealing with the situation.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

They made a great job and I’m very happy to have met those people. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Wladimir Burkhardt<\/strong> invited me for this event to Jonathan Rabanus<\/strong> and his crew. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Thxs for that to all. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

One of the things which just happenend was the meeting with the photographer\/ filmaker Donetti Nicholas<\/strong> ( working as a journalist for the „Spiegel“ and many more media outlets ) in 2019 in Dieppe \/ France -Normandie at the place by a internationally wellknown artist William De Brui.<\/strong> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Nicholas made a movie about William’s life and I wrote the music for this. One of plenty Home- Studio Reccordings in 2020.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Another was the collaboration with the Light Artist G\u00fcnther J. Schaefer<\/strong>, who invented 6 Rings producing „Lights on Water“.<\/strong> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I composed special music for this live -event, which we hopefully can perform in 2021.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

A little pre-event was filmed by Hessen TV Studio.<\/strong> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In march 2020, during our first heavy lockdown, I decided to make some dreams come true. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I decided to work on 5 new Projects and I called some of my friends to support me doing this. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

All my friends worked on 5 new CD,s during Covid Times : <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

,,Living Room\u201d,,Pop Agenda\u201d,,Recall\u201d,,Quartier Latin \u201d,, Quartier Latin Playalong Edition\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Anton Davidyants ( Moscow)\u2013 Eugene Uvarov ( Kiew) \u2013Hans F\u00fccker ( Germany), <\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Sergey Yuzvik ( Kiew)- Igor Zakus-( Kiew) Piotr Baron ( Warsaw)- <\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Alina Zalozna ( Lviv) – Jaroslaw Buczkowski ( Warsaw),Avinoam Ettun ( Israel)- <\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Andrew Nikk ( Belgorod)-Walerie K\u00fchl-Hans J\u00f6rg Scheffler- Manni Struck\u2026all Germany<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

thank you all for the great work and the inspirations , we kept the good things going. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

But it was a real trip. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Making Pre-Productions-sending tracks all over the world and puzzling it all together.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Some projects would never sound they way the are now with the end- adding and mixing by Hans J\u00f6rg Scheffler.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Yes !<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And specially with Hans J\u00f6rg, we have an outstanding relation and collaborate since many years as Salentin & Scheffler<\/strong> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Our CD ,,Deepavali“<\/strong> was released in autumn. More to come from Salentin & Scheffler<\/strong> in 2021<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

But on top , Scheffler used the time to make a project called : ,,Cabin Fever“ <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Scheffler invited 70 Musicians from all over the world to record a piece of music, including guys like Jacob Collier and many more.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And : me…..LOL <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Another Home Session started with Ehud Ettun from Israel. Named ,,Global Alliance“<\/strong> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

and we recorded with David Alfandary ( Israel),Henrique Eisemann ( Brasil), Adam Zagorski ( Poland), Ehid Ettun ( Israel<\/strong>) and me ( Germany)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

found a way to bring extra ordinary musicians for this project together. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

What a nice song and I’m happy to work with such great Artists. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Ehud Ettun<\/strong> is also a very good excample for taking chances during this hard year. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

He and his wife Brianna<\/strong> are working since many years, to make workshops and concerts in Israel . <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The idea is to bring musicians from all over the world together and to make a festival. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

So they started with that years ago and had a lot of successful festivals over the years. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

What to during a pandemic , when travel is difficult and even impossible ? <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

End of December they invited musicians from all over for special ,,Online talking sessions“,including music of the artists and started open converstaions with students. Host Ehud invited for one session: <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Jacob Means (USA), Haruka Yabuno ( Japan) ,Jason Yeager (USA), Pablo Lapidusas (Brazil\/ Argentina)<\/strong> and me. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This was really something ( nearly 2 \u00bd hour of talk and music) , because I found new friends and outstanding Artists. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Meanwhile during the year,my job at University of Music -W\u00fcrzburg Jazzzzzzzzz, was running. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

3 Month Online sessions only, but at the End of June , I decided to start face to face again- even with combos. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

How do you want to perform art by playing and improvising , if you don,t see and hear each other ? <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Easy answer : we need to meet and play. I’m really thankfull to have great students, who take me the way I am ( they have no chance anyways -LOL )<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

but they all did a great job during that year !<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I can say that I really enjoyed each teaching session with my combos and I love those guys aswell as the ladys! <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And looking forward to continue our work in 2021. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Thanks to Miel Adams<\/strong> my trumpet and Flgh builder and friend, For all you did for me in 2020.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Well… <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In 2021 I hope to see and perform at some places again and I have big plans too … like allways … <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Even a simple dinner would be enough for me—-of course with one by one….LOL<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I decided to forget about the bad things in 2020 and I try to think about all this projects, which made me feel better and now, <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
