,,Ich ziehe meinen Hut vor der Leistung von Phillip van Endert“, so Salentin nach dem Konzert im Kultursaal der alten Post Neuss.

Van Endert hat ein großartiges ,abwechslungsreiches Festival-Programm, bei freiem Eintritt, organisiert, welches zu den Perlen in der Region gehört.

Stefan Gesell trommelte zu diesem Anlass seine ,,Old Friends “ zu sammen mit :

Heinrich von Kallein ( Tenor) Jürgen Dahmen ( Piano ) Konstantin Winstroer ( Kontrabass) Stefan Gesell ( Drums ) HpSalentin ( Tp/Flgh)

und als Gast Philipp van Endert Guitarre.

Vor 200 begeisterten Zuhören spielte die Band Eigenkompositionen und bei Salentins ,,Landscape“ wurde sogar das Publikum gesanglich mit einbezogen.

Oft ist ein Rahmenprogramm einer Veranstaltung eher ein weniger interessanter Akt.

Nun , die Westphalien Big Band mit Hans Peter Salentin war dies an dem Abend im Steinfurter Kultur Tempel ,,Bagno“ ganz sicher nicht.

Der Abend des Kulturforums Steinfurt  zu dem Unternehmer aus der Region eingeladen wurden stand umter dem Motto ,,Musik macht schlau“.

Manfred Greving ( selbst aktives Mitglied ) stellte  den Kontakt her und so wurde die Big Band zu diesem Event eingeladen.

Schlau war jedenfalls die Auswahl der Musik des Abends .

Die Big Band spielte ,,Cheek to Cheek“ einen alten Fred Astaire Klassiker ,

sowie von Asto Piazolla ,,Libertango“ und anschließend den Beatles Klassiker ,,Foll on the Hill “.

Den Abschluss bildete ein traditionelles Big Band Stück : ,,Easy to Love“.

Da die Band sehr gut eingespielt war , konnte sich Bandleader  & Mastermind Salentin genüßlich ins Publikum setzen und

zählte die Band ,,nur“ ein oder dirigitierte den Schluß der Kompositionen.

i,m a very happy guy..but tired too..
it was realy great time this year on all Jazz Workshops in Poland.
Cho Jazz special as every Year !!!!
Leszno Jazz with great new Generation of teachers.
It,s a great opportunity to meet old friends and make new.
For me,i made a very personal Decission.
I will not continue on Polish Jazz Workshops in Chodziez and Leszno
Just i feel , that i,m looking for new roads.
after nearly beeing on the Polish Workshop szene for over 25 Years,
i feel that time has come to make the next step for me.
This is no Drama or comes from bad feelings.
No it,s the other way round.
I feel very strong to do something new and i will do this.
Guys and Ladys . i had great time !!! and i thank you all for sharing lifetime.
We meet somewhere again.
Thank you , my polish Friends!

Ein großes Danke schön an Julia Sawicka, die seit Jahren diesen Workshop mit großem Erfolg organisiert.

Auch trafen sich Musiker aus den verschiedensten Ländern , um gemeinsam zu Improvisieren.

Das Kurs Angebot reichte von Yoga mit Sitar, über Home Recording bis zu Masterclasses und Combo Unterricht.

Einzelne herausragende Konzerte und die abendlichen Jam Sessions sind ein Markenzeichen dieser Veranstaltung.

um mit polnischen Superstars der Jazz Szene gemeinsam den Jazz zu entdecken.

Danke an Marcin Kita, der seit Jahren diesen Event betreut und organisiert.
